DAY #1 BEST FRIEND - LYDIA KIMURA

Hi Lydia Kimura!

We have been friends of 7 solid years. There are times where we let each other down but that's okay because that made us even closer. Each time I think about the days you and I were still in Fairfield, I smile to myself like an idiot. Muttons in the morning, the long dreadful walk to school from the bus stop, running to school not to be late but got detentions anyway, taking cab when I woke up late, siew mais at 645am in the morning, smoking in the toilet for handicaps, attires checks, CHAPEL (FAV TIME IN SCHOOL), recess, fried fish soup, M&Ms (Mahathir hehehe & Mikhail), playing in the rain in our school uniform at Jurong sampai seluar dalam semua basah, painting your nails, swimming and then we grew up. We were apart for a few months cos I believe we were trying to find ourselves somewhere else but I guess we now know that we don't have to anymore. So many other things that I could keep keep on raving about. We spend so much time together and never once I felt sad or unhappy. I think that what matters the most. I can be myself when I am with you. You respect me and know where to draw the line. You are the one person, besides S, that can let me be the way I am and not change one thing about me :>

Just last night, we went swimming together with Kotak. I saw your face lit up so many times while he was with you. I don't know why but I had this feeling at the pit of my stomach. I was... really feeling contented for you. I felt your happiness. And I like that. I like seeing you happy. I guess this is what 7 years of a good friendship with you do to me. You make me feel so happy and laughing all the time until my cheeks hurt despite the bad moments I was having.

So this is from me to you. Like I have always told you, I know I don't (or never) say this out loud but you know I love you :) Looking forward to many many many more years ahead together. Aku nak sebok sebok jugak bila kau kahwin and beranak nanti k? O yeah and eat hot wantons together on a chilly evening when we are all feeble, frail and old (lepak uh bruhhh as usual haha) and look back at how far we have come :>
