I am feeling very apologetic for the lack of spur to update this space diligently. I can no longer comply to blog once a week anymore, I am sorry. But let's cut to the chase now. I will keep it short and sweet - Attending Lykke Li Live at The Esplanade was undeniably one of the most significant moments in my (almost) 21 years of living. Like an angel, she glided towards the middle of the stage. I instantaneously spaced out. I must admit, the first time I listened to Wounded Rhymes while I was painting, I could not find anything to relish. I thought the noticeable change of her outgrowing her girlish sweetness was a slight disappointment but I forgot, we will all eventually grow up one day. I took a second spin and then the third and then for the umpteenth time, I realized that I too have went through and will go through these phases in life at one point or another. I hope to get better seats next time if she is back here in Singapore. A big thank you to my mom and San for the great opportunity to cross something so precious off my list in 2011.
Speaking of growing old, next Sunday will mark my 21st birthday! As of right now, I have two plans to choose. 1) Steve Aoki @ Zouk. 2) Hed Kandi @ Azzura. I love Aoki but needless to say, the crowd is going to be so massive that everyone will be standing shoulder to shoulder. I am all right with Hed Kandi but I really dislike the possibility of waking up in the morning with my face in the sand. Thoughts thought thoughts. Perhaps what to look forward to first now is Cuscaden this Tuesday. Damn you chicken wings! x
