MAUVAISE IDÉE

3-6-1.jpg
Hello! I am back! Attempt #0123456789 to retain some degree of appreciation for this space. I hope I didn't disappoint too many people who keep coming back here without any new updates. So without further ado, continuing from where we left off from my previous post, I got the job! It's much harder as compared to my previous jobs. Apart from the daily arduous efforts to please everyone (Basically I report to uh, everyone. I am like at the bottom of the fucking hierarchy or something), now I have to learn how to use Oracle. Prior to this, I was accustomed to only Sales Force. But I am trying to get the hang of it (and doing 1001 things at the same time) everyday... Albeit some odious and impatient foreign colleagues' expectations of me to give the whole wide world to them in a span of my first week at work. Such absent-mindedness. Patience is a virtue, Sha.

On a lighter note, last Saturday I met up with Iera and Azila for Nad's set at Nabins. I was late. Anyone who knows me all too well, I AM NOT A TRAIN PERSON. I am a bus/motorbike/cab person. I do not take and try to avoid taking the train at all cost. So I took 198 hoping to drop off at Commonwealth and transfer to 32 to get to Bugis. I totally lost track of time as I happily bob along to the music in my iPod. When I took a glance at my watch, cb, 730 already lah sial. I was supposed to be at Bugis by then and I was only at Clementi. I alighted the bus at Buona Vista and took the train to Bugis. Like selenge right -_- This one part I ah, there's part II.

Hi Nadz. Thank you for initiating the thought of going to Zirca from Nabins without saying anything but through your set list! You is very charming by the way. So yeah, we went to Zirca not knowing who the guest dj was until we got there. Yukun & P@t. We were mostly at Rebel. Very unlikely of me to be in Rebel for more than half an hour but... lo and behold! 1am all the way until "In New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of. There's nothing you can't do. Now you're New York, these streets will make you feel brand new, big lights will inspire you. Let's hear it for New York, New York, New York..." at 445am. That's their okaytimetogohomeyoudrunkfucks song.

So... backtracking to part II of my story of not being a train person. We waited for the first train home. Okay wait wait wait, this first. Why painstakingly wait for the first train and not like take a cab home or something right? We are on a budget, or at least I was, cos this coming Saturday is Oktoberfest at Wavehouse! And also, I am excited to share that I managed to get my hands on a pair of tickets to see Lykke Li - Live@TheEsplanade this September 21st! I am stoked! Okay haha back to part II! Yeah so I took like quite awhile, contemplating on my choice of transport to get back home. I had to like save $ = taking a cab was out of the question. It's either the train or the bus. I decided okay let's take the train. My friends and I parted ways at City Hall to transfer to another train. Smart ass me decided to get out of the train station and walk to Esplanade to take 502 or something. I wanted to take a quick shut eye so badly. I always get good naps from bus rides. Wtf right. As I was walking through empty shopping malls at 7 fucking am, I realized that there were so many people wearing their running attires. Mostly men. I was like... The fuck is happening man? It was the Army Half Marathon 2011 -..- AND ALL ROADS LEADING TO ESPLANADE WAS CLOSED SO THERE WERE NO BUS SERVICE. KNN I had to walk all the way back to City Hall and eventually took the train home. Wah I was so pissed off. The best part, before my friends and I parted, they were talking about it but I registered nothing in my brain. Selenge nak mampos kan! I declared that Saturday was "What the fuck, Sha?" day. And there you have it, my lost of transition story.

We didn't manage to snap any pictures in Zirca cos I didn't bring my small compact camera and Iera's phone just decided to die on her at 1am. We put almost everything into the locker, yes, including the dslr because of the club management's rules. Nah, two more pictures from Nabins to make up for that. Next week is packed like sardines in a can and I am definitely looking forward to it! Eh I realized in all the pictures here, almost all of us had that V sign goin' on haha! All right to end things off here, FINALLY, I know this entry has been notably long.............. It's a good thing what right? No? Here's two cupcakes for you. Just something I've been randomly doing while trying to fall asleep. Yes. Thinking of food. Before bed. I think of food whenever I can lah. Bye! x
