OKTOBERFEST

Hallo, wie geht es dir! (Hello, how are you!) I am back with some pics from Oktoberfest 2011 at Wavehouse. The rest are in Facebook! Company? Checked. Drinks? Checked. Music? Err not really my type but the fucking fantastic finger lickin' food somehow makes up for it. But a pity the management under-estimated our appetites. It was planned to end at 10PM but the food dissipated at about 845PM. Only the Erdingers kept on coming. It was a whole new experience. I have never devoured so much German food in my entire life! All kinds of whatever wurst, you name it, they have it. A few favorites that I feel the need to share with you guys... 

Appetizers: 

1) Prawn cocktail on mesculin salad - San didn't agree with me on this one >:(

2) Munich sausage salad with red onions and gherkins 

3) German potato salad with vinegar, oil & bacon

Main course:

1) Steamed fish fillet with herb butter sauce

2) Oven roasted herb chicken 

3) BBQ bockwurst sausage

Their soup of the day was yummy too - Herb pancake soup. I was actually looking forward to the homemade butter spatzles and sauerkraut with bacon but I wasn't fast enough! San and I wanted to try the meatloaf too but instantaneously gave up after seeing the long queue at the carving station. I would love to try and remake some of the dishes at home. Esp the fish. I have no idea how to make the herb butter sauce so it's a challenge accepted. I love to cook and bake as much as I love to draw and paint. I bet you didn't know that! Hopefully when I overcome the awkwardness of bringing the camera into my own kitchen while I cook, I will share with you a few of my edible art on a plate. I'd probably let the canvases and papers take the back seat for a bit hehe. Liebe ist immer! Xx
